Thanksgiving reflections
gratitude increases joy and productivity by 10% in case we need a reason...
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and with just one week of classes left, I’ve been reflecting on what success really means. It’s not only about finance or business law knowledge, it’s also about taking space to appreciate what we have achieved and what we’re grateful for.
Here’s my short list:
Waking up my children with love and music and walking my youngest to school in the mornings.
Colleagues and mentors who believe in me, students who inspire me, and my home institution (Widener University Delaware Law School) for supporting my work and teaching.
Shelter: a space I can dance in, walls my children can paint any color they please, and the safety that comes with this.
I started writing Defining Money last April because I know what it feels like to experience pain or insecurity, and I want to help others move past that—to the success and joy you deserve.
Thank you so much for being a part of this community. Wishing you and yours a peaceful Thanksgiving. - Geeta
